Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility, South Burlington’s only women’s prison, is a hotbed for abuse that is not keeping our communities any safer. Vermont has one of the lowest incarceration rates in the country, and yet state leaders still want to spend $70M building a NEW women's prison. We believe these resources should be used on housing, substance use interventions, education and mental heath services instead. Take action to close the women's prison and invest in our communities!
